Virgo man wont try to be intimate again

I have been involved with a virgo man for more than a year now. At first we would go out, I did most of the phone calling at his request,he says he loves me, but he is distant. When I suggested that maybe we are not suited for each other he became interested enough to try harder to be more affectionate.
I am very frustrated with this man that I too love. I have read about virgo men and understand that they take a long time to form relationships, but a year and more? We were intimate one time, but that did not work out well, now he won't even try to be intimate again.
