Trying to understand a Cancer man.

I'm a pisces and i'm madly in love with cancer man but the way we got involved is what worries me...let me tell you from the start...I had an eye on him for like 2 years and when I was on summer holiday I went out with my uncle whom he is best friends with so he later on he came too and shook my hand and sat next to me and I was a little drunk and I kind of admitted that I had a crush on him for 2 years and just few minutes later he started kissing me! (which I didn't mind of course lol) but I'm thinking acted like that with me how would he be around other ladies? or is he just that cancer man that needs security of someones feelings to him so he can make the first move?
